Ark Learning Hub

Real progress, built at home.

ABA is an evidence-based approach that helps children build meaningful skills, strengthen positive behaviours, and become more independent in everyday life. Therapy is tailored to each child’s individual strengths, needs, and goals, using proven strategies to support learning and development.

How Ark supports your child

Communication can look different for every child. We help children build clearer, more independent ways to ask for help, make choices, express preferences, and communicate what they want or need.

This may look like

Asking for a favourite item, requesting a break, choosing between activities, or letting someone know when something is difficult.

How we support it

Depending on your child’s needs, we may use spoken language, signs, pictures, AAC, modelling, and everyday routines to build functional communication skills.

Everyday tasks can involve many small steps. We help break those routines down so your child can practice them in a clear and manageable way.

This may look like

Getting dressed, brushing teeth, washing hands, toileting, cleaning up, preparing for school, or completing simple household routines.

How we support it

We may use visual supports, step-by-step teaching, modelling, and individualized prompting, gradually reducing support as your child becomes more independent.

Play provides natural opportunities to build communication, cooperation, and confidence around other people. We support social participation in ways that respect your child’s interests and comfort level.

This may look like

Taking turns, joining a game, playing with siblings, sharing materials, asking someone to play, or participating in a group activity.

How we support it

We use your child’s interests and everyday play opportunities to practise skills in a natural and meaningful way.

We help children develop foundational skills that can make structured activities, learning, and classroom routines easier to navigate.

This may look like

Following simple instructions, sitting for short activities, completing tasks, attending to a lesson, transitioning between activities, asking for help, or becoming more independent with school routines.

How we support it

We break skills into manageable steps, use your child’s interests to keep learning engaging, and gradually build independence as their confidence grows.

Everyday outings can involve waiting, transitions, safety skills, communication, and following routines. We help children build practical skills that can make community activities easier to navigate with their families.

This may look like

Waiting in line, staying close to a caregiver, visiting a store, going to appointments, ordering food, making choices, or handling transitions during family outings.

How we support it

We practice related skills during familiar routines and help caregivers use consistent strategies so those skills can carry over into community settings.

About Ark

A safe place to learn. A team that's with you.

At Ark Learning Hub, we see the child before the behaviour.

With over 10 years of experience working alongside children on the autism spectrum, we’ve had the privilege of witnessing growth, discovering strengths, and learning from every child we support. Our experience has taught us that there is no single way to do ABA. Every child brings their own personality, strengths, interests, and way of experiencing the world. At Ark, we embrace what makes each child unique, build on their strengths, and create a safe space where they can grow, connect, and reach their potential.

Ark was founded by two Registered Behaviour Analysts with one shared belief: every child deserves care that fits who they are.

Founder story

Nadia Ivasyk

FounderRBA (Ont), BCBA, MPEd (ABA)

For most of my adult life, I have had the privilege of working alongside children: learning from them, laughing with them, and witnessing the moments that shape their growth. Since entering the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis in 2017, I have been guided by one core belief: the child always comes first.

When I observed my first ABA session, I was struck by how effective the strategies were and, more importantly, how much joy the children showed while learning. That moment sparked my commitment to behaviourism as a science, not as a rigid set of rules, but as a flexible, compassionate tool that, when used skillfully, can support meaningful change and reduce challenges in a child’s daily life.

Over the past ten years, I have worked as a therapist, supervising therapist, and clinical supervisor. These experiences have shaped my understanding that real progress happens when everyone around a child feels empowered. My passion now lies in sharing my knowledge with the people who matter most in a child’s world: parents, caregivers, and behaviour technicians.

Ark is more than a learning space. It is a promise. A promise to never give up, to move forward and grow together, to listen to every voice, and to ensure that ABA serves the child rather than the other way around. At Ark, we celebrate each laugh, each new word, each milestone, and each hard-won victory. We meet families where they are, honour their experiences, and walk with them toward the future they envision for their child.

Founder story

Lathu Sabeskaran

FounderRBA (Ont), BCBA, CHE, MA

I believe every child deserves to be truly seen: not as a list of goals or a set of behaviours, but as a whole person with their own personality, interests, and way of experiencing the world. That belief is at the heart of everything I do, and it is the reason I chose this work.

Applied Behaviour Analysis gave me a way to turn that belief into real, meaningful progress. What drew me in was not the data alone, but what the data made possible: a child asking for help for the first time, a family getting through the morning routine with less stress, a parent watching their child’s confidence grow. Those moments still move me every day.

Over the years, I have learned that the most lasting changes happen outside of the therapy session. That is why I work side by side with parents and caregivers, turning clinical goals into simple, everyday routines that fit naturally into family life. When strategies feel doable at home, at school, and in the community, progress follows.

My approach is built on trust, play, and consistency. I take the time to understand what motivates each child, to listen closely to what each family needs, and to explain the why behind every recommendation, so parents always feel informed and involved rather than on the sidelines.

Nadia and I founded Ark to offer the kind of care we believe every family deserves: compassionate, evidence-based, and truly collaborative. Every family that welcomes us into their home should feel heard, supported, and confident in their child’s next step.

Why families choose Ark

The difference families feel

Choosing an ABA provider is a big decision. Here’s what you can expect when your family works with Ark.

Therapy at home, where it counts

Your child learns where they feel safest, during real moments like meals, play, and bedtime. Skills stick because they’re practised right where they’re used. No commutes, no waiting rooms.

A plan made only for your child

No cookie-cutter programs. We get to know your child’s strengths, interests, and needs, then set goals together with you that reflect what matters most to your family.

You’re part of the team

Parent coaching is part of every plan. We show you the same strategies we use, so you feel confident supporting your child between sessions, not just during them.

Progress you can actually see

We track your child’s progress every session and review it with you regularly in simple, easy-to-read updates. You’ll always know what we’re working on, and why.

Warm, play-based, and respectful

Learning should feel good. Sessions are playful and built around what your child loves, with their comfort, choices, and dignity at the centre of everything we do.

Guidance with funding

The Ontario Autism Program and insurance benefits can feel confusing. We’ll help you understand your options, so you can focus on your child, not the paperwork.

FAQ

Questions families often ask

Starting therapy is a big step. Here are answers to the questions parents ask us most.

Ask us a question
What is ABA therapy?

Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based approach built on the science of how people learn. Skills are broken into small, achievable steps, practised in a positive and motivating way, and measured along the way so we always know what's working.

Who is in-home ABA a good fit for?

In-home ABA can help children who need a little extra support with communicating, playing with others, everyday routines, or handling big feelings. Many of the children we work with are on the autism spectrum, and we also support children with other learning or developmental needs. If you’re wondering whether ABA could help your child, we’re happy to talk it through.

Why in-home instead of a clinic?

Home is where your child's routines happen. Teaching skills right there, at mealtimes and during play, helps them stick in everyday life, and lets you see and practise strategies firsthand.

How involved will I be as a parent?

As involved as you'd like, and we'll encourage it! Parent coaching is part of every plan, because the time between sessions matters too.

How often are sessions?

Session length and frequency depend on your child's needs and goals. We'll recommend a schedule after the assessment and work around your family's routine.

Can funding or benefits help cover therapy?

Yes, for many families. The Ontario Autism Program (OAP) provides government funding for children and youth under 18 with an autism diagnosis. Families register through AccessOAP, and once invited to core clinical services, a care coordinator helps determine the funding available for your child. This funding can be used toward ABA therapy delivered by regulated professionals, such as Behaviour Analysts registered with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario.

Many workplace health benefit plans also cover part of the cost of ABA. Not sure where to start? We’re happy to walk you through your options and help you make the most of your funding.

Which areas do you serve?

We proudly bring in-home ABA therapy to families in Toronto and communities across the Greater Toronto Area. Not sure if you’re in range? Just ask.
